Sapphire Valley Amenities- North Carolina's Resort Town

Art Classes: Art Odyssey - after-school art class for students in grades 2-5 (Mondays 3:15-4:15 p.m.) in the Highlands School Cafeteria; cost is $30 for a six-class session. To attend, call (828) 526-4949, ext. 0# between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pre-register, or register on the first day of class.
Art Lessons: Art Lessons are held Monday through Friday mornings and afternoons at the Blue Valley Gallery. For information, call 743-2956.
Art Classes: It's Masterful - art for homeschoolers (Mondays 1-2:30 p.m.); location to be announced. Cost is $45 for a six-class session. To attend, call (828) 526-4949, ext. 0# between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pre-register, or register on the first day of class.
Clogging Classes: Mondays: Beginners Plus Clogging Class at 7 p.m. All clogging classes are held at Mountain Sounds behind The Bird Barn 'n Garden in Cashiers.
Tai Chi: The Golden Age Senior Center offers Tai Chi exercises on Mondays and Thursdays at 4p.m. For information, call 586-4944.
Art League:
The Area Art League meets the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Swain County Center for the Arts. For information, call (828) 488-7843.
Civil War Round Table: Western North Carolina Civil War Round Table meets the second Monday of the month at 7p.m. at the Justice Center in Sylva. For information, call (828) 452-2298.
